What happens when my .desi domain name expires?
After the expiry date you can still renew the domain name for 42 days at the normal rate.
It then goes into quarantine for 30 days. During that period only the last holder can restore it, at an extra cost.
Once that period has also passed, the domain name becomes free and anyone can register it.
Which characters can I use in a .desi domain name?
The name before .desi may be 1 to 63 characters long: letters, digits and hyphens, not starting or ending with a hyphen.
Accented characters such as é or ü (IDN) are not allowed.
