For how long do I register a .gift domain name?
You register a .gift domain name for 1 to 10 years.
After that you renew per 1 to 10 years. With "Auto-renewal" on the domain page you decide whether this happens automatically.
How do I transfer a .gift domain name to Knippin?
You need a transfer code. You get it from your current provider.
Is there a transfer lock on the domain name? Have your current provider remove it first.
After the transfer: plus 1 year.
How do I request the transfer code for my .gift domain name?
On the domain page, click "Request transfer code". The code is shown once on screen. Copy it and give it to your new provider.
Can I change the holder of a .gift domain name?
On the domain page, click "Change holder" and enter the details of the new holder.
The new holder must also meet the registration terms.
What happens when my .gift domain name expires?
After the expiry date you can still renew the domain name for 42 days at the normal rate.
It then goes into quarantine for 30 days. During that period only the last holder can restore it, at an extra cost.
Once that period has also passed, the domain name becomes free and anyone can register it.

The name before .gift may be 3 to 63 characters long: letters, digits and hyphens, not starting or ending with a hyphen.
Accented characters such as é or ü (IDN) are allowed.
